It's Friiiidaaaay! Time For Feature & Follow Friday!

Hey folks!  It's time for parajunkee's and alison can read's weekly blog hop!

Here's how it works: Every week, there's a featured blog or two, as well as a weekly question!  You create your own F&F blog post that answers the question and enter your blog into the list on the original blog page.  Then you follow, follow, follow!  It's required to follow the blog hosts and the featured blogs, but for everyone else it's up to you how many of the participating blogs you want to follow!  It's also nice if you leave a comment with the blogs you're following.

This weeks Question:
Do you own any doubles of your books? What led to getting that second…or third or fourth…copy?
Of course I've got doubles!  A couple of them are better editions of books I already own, with prettier hardcovers.  A few others I purchased because I didn't have my original copy while on a trip and I desperately wanted to read it.  Most of them, however, I purchased because I forgot I already had a copy on my shelf.  Whoops!
How about you?

Hahaha, it is good to know someone is much more forgetful than I am. Out of curiosity I wanted to ask you, what books did you want to read so desperately?
New Follower! Have a nice weekend! By the way, the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" is awesome (I saw it at your shelf)

    1. I'm often tempted as well, although my husband frequently puts his foot down on those impulsive purchases :)

  4. Haha, I've done that before, it actually happened with a Sarah Dessen book. I had forgotten that I'd already picked up a paperback of The Truth About Forever at my local book store when they had it on the bargain table for really cheap and then I saw it again in a thift store for like $2.00 and was all *grabby hands flail*. When I got it home I realized, duh! I already had a copy of it, oh well I'll be passing that one onto my sister who will love it I'm sure.

Happy Reading and Hopping Through! :)

    1. I've made that mistake at book sales so many times, that I now create a wish list of books I don't have, which makes the choosing process at a book sale a lot more streamlined.

  5. Haha I love how you buy a second copy because you don't have the book with you on a trip, I am not quite that bad yet. I find books really expensive in Ireland though, especially in bookshops, you would rarely pay under €10, so I stick with Amazon!

    1. I admit, I've done it a few times, mainly with Harry Potter, and this was before I had a Kindle. Thank God for ebooks!

  6. Heehee! Don't think I've ever had a whoops moment like that! Although...it did happen to me just last year, but then I gave it away on my blog, so I don't technically own two copies of that anymore! No one will ever know! (Although, I did just tell you didn't I?) ;)

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. Ahahaha you have double books because you forgot to have them? So funny ! There's a friend of mine who does the same... and then she always gives me the worst copy, but still, a gift is a gift and I certainly don't argue over a new book ^^

    1. It's a lot easier to do than you might think... I'm currently going through my bookcases to make sure it doesn't happen the next time there's a book sale.
