It's Friday! Time For A Blog Hop

It's Friday people!  I'm getting a dental filling, teaching a dance lesson, and then I'm off to dance swing in front of a live band.  It's going to be quite a day!

So now it's time for a blog hop!

The rules of this blog hop (hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) are simple: write a post using the weekly post prompt, enter your blog link into the linky thing on the host site, and then follow the hosts, the featured blog, and as many other blogs as possible!

This week's post prompt:
Write a letter to your favorite author

Okay, you know what?  I can't write a fan letter to J.K. Rowling.  I've been staring at my screen for half an hour, with too many false starts.  I simply can't write this thing without sounding like a stalker.

You know what I would rather have happen?  I would love to accidently bump into her somewhere.  I would pretend I didn't recognize her, we'd start talking.....and it would end up with us becoming pen pals, or with me giving her ballroom dance lessons.  I just feel weird treating her like a celebrity, when I would rather treat her like a friend.

J.K. Rowling, if you've somehow tripped across my blog and are reading this now, 1) reading your books multiple times is the reason why I'm the designated family bookworm, and 2) have you ever wanted to ballroom dance?  Just asking.

Have a great weekend everybody!

  1. Lol, I also really struggled with the prompt this week. Everything I wrote just sounded weird in a stalker way.

  2. Yeah, I would be a stuttering mess and not be able to speak to her at all! LOL!

  3. It was a tricky one this week! In a way I don't think I'd want to meet Laini Taylor (My F&F) because I'd just be a total mess. I'd like to hang out with J K Rowling though, she comes across as such a cool person!

    Old follower, happy F&F Friday!
